Meet the Doctor

 

Dr. Dennis Reno is originally from California where he attended Fullerton College and the University of Southern California Health Science in Los Angeles. He studied for seven years earning a bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and a Doctorate in Chiropractic. He is National Board Certified and licensed to practice chiropractic in California and North Carolina. Dr. Reno has also undergone advanced postgraduate training, completing a Certified Accident Reconstruction for the Medical Practitioner Program through Texas A&M University and certification in Permanent Impairment Rating through the South Carolina Chiropractic Association. He moved to North Carolina in 1990 to practice chiropractic and then moved to Shelby in 1996 to open his own office. Dr. Reno is a member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association (NCAA) and the Christian Chiropractic Association (CCA). Dr. Reno has been married to his wife Andrea since 1987 and they have two children, twins Jason and Amanda.

 

 

Dr.  Heather Ellison is excited about returning to her hometown of Shelby, North Carolina and becoming the newest Chiropractic Physician to join Reno Chiropractic Center. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University in Biological Sciences and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida.   Dr. Ellison is National Board Certified and licensed to practice chiropractic in the state of North Carolina. She is certified in the Graston technique and is a member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association. Dr. Ellison is married to Dr. James Magar of the Kings Mountain office. Together they are active in chiropractic mission work and volunteer their time to various sports programs in the community. Dr. Ellison and Dr. Magar most recently teamed up with the Shelby High Sports Medicine program for the 2011 American Legion World Series.

 

 

 

 

 

Kings Mountain Location

Dr. James Magar operates Reno Chiropractic Center of Kings Mountain. Dr. Magar is a native of Hendersonville, North Carolina. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Lenoir- Rhyne College in Hickory and a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida. Dr. Magar is National Board Certified and licensed to practice chiropractic in the state of North Carolina. He is certified in the Graston technique and is a member of the North Carolina Chiropractic Association and Kings Mountain Rotary Club. During his time in chiropractic school, he visited the Dominican Republic to participate in chiropractic mission work. Dr. Magar & Dr. Heather Ellison were married in August 2011.
